Abrie du Plooy

Abrie played Division I Tennis at the University of Tennessee who was ranked # 2 in the country.  He obtained an ATP Ranking in Singles and Doubles reaching quarter finals of a $50k Challenger and lost 7/6, 6-3 to eventual winners and US Open Winner that year (Aldrich and Visser). Ranked 10th on an ITF Satellite in Singles and Doubles. He beat tour players: Robbie Koenig, David Nainkin , Michael Myburg, Andre Snyman, Emile Fourie, Clinton Marsh, Lan Bale, Hector Navares, Mike Leach and Sebastain Uriarte. He finished as a 2 time USPTR Men’s 30 Singles Winner and Men’s Doubles Winner. He was a promoter for 15 ATP and WTA Circuit Pro Events. He was Co- Promoter for Exhibition between Monica Seles and Martina Navratilova.  He has coached ATP, WTA and top National and International Juniors.  He won 7 National Veterans tournaments in Singles and Doubles.  He has enjoyed a 27 Year Teaching career in tennis and has promoted over 50 Junior and Adult Tournaments.


Marshall Winters, Academy Teaching Pro

Marshall Winters is currently a teaching pro at the Abrie du Plooy Tennis Academy- working with top ranked players where he serves as the Head of Youth Programs at private schools. Marshall is a former top ranked junior that trained at Saddlebrook FL. He graduated from the University of Milan, Italy and attended Oxford University in the U.K.  He has previously worked at the Mid Town Athletic Club in Chicago and started different programs for the youth that made him the top pro at this prestigious club.

Marc Dunn, Academy Teaching Pro

Marc Dunn is currently a teaching pro at ADP Tennis Academy – working with junior programs. Before relocating to New Orleans, Marc was a former teaching pro at DB Tennis Club in Gainesville, Florida.  He was a collegiate Division I player for the University of Florida and is originally from Vero Beach, Florida.
